The Antigo Daily Journal, like businesses across Wisconsin, continues to make changes to hours and deadlines in response to the evolving coronavirus pandemic.
The Journal office is currently closed to foot traffic, but editorial and advertising representatives are available by calling the office at 715-623-4191. When the office is able to be reopened, new hours will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Deadlines for editorial and advertisements have also been adjusted. Deadline for display advertising, including public legal notices, is now 48 hours before the publication date. That includes classified display ads.
The deadline for regular classified ads has also been adjusted. They will now be accepted up to 9:30 a.m. the day before the first publication.
The Journal is also adjusting deadlines for obituary notices. Funeral homes are asked to have the notices to the Journal office by 9:30 a.m. the day of publication. They may be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
The Journal continues to be one of the few remaining daily printed newspapers in the state and that is not changing. The new deadlines are due to shortened schedules caused by the state-mandated closure of many local businesses and event cancellations. That has led to revenue challenges across the Adams Publishing Group network of publications.
Journal advertising and editorial staffers are always available to work with retailers and readers on their specific needs. Call the office at 715-623-4191.
