A Fond du Lac man who formerly lived in Antigo facing two counts of first degree sexual assault of a child under 12 and possession of narcotic drugs in certain places in two separate cases waived his right to preliminary hearings and entered not guilty pleas to all charges Wednesday in Langlade County Circuit Court.
Cesar Fernandez-Reyes, 36, appeared before judge John B. Rhode on the charges via video from the jail, with an interpreter in the courtroom. Fernandez-Reyes’ attorney, Robert T. Ruth, appeared by Zoom and told Rhode his client was waiving his right to preliminary hearings in both cases. Assistant District Attorney Kelly Hays said the charges in the information would mirror the original criminal complaints so Ruth was willing to go to arraignment. He entered not guilty pleas on behalf of Fernandez-Reyes.
