The Langlade County Sheriff’s Department received a variety of calls, throughout the Holiday weekend. 

On Thursday, at 10:07 a.m. Officers investigated an animal complaint on Maple Street, upon arrival they found a cat, deceased in a flower garden. 

Shortly after at 3:45 p.m. a traffic stop on the corner of Neva Road and Washington Avenue saw a motorist, cited for operating while suspended, violation of a child restraint and operating a motor vehicle without having insurance. The occupant received a verbal warning for speeding and child restraint. 

On Friday, at 2:05 p.m. a call was received about a fight in progress on Seventh Avenue. The caller stated that there are people across the street fighting with sticks and also heard “why are you doing drugs in someone else’s yard.”

A fire call was received at 10:27 a.m. on Saturday. A boat battery had caught on fire and the owner used an extinguisher before Antigo Fire Department took over. The boat was smoking on Neva Road when the owner of the boat unhooked the boat trailer from their vehicle.
