Kristin Hetto, owner of Richardson Design Co., opened her doors April 24, just shortly after renting Suite 9 in the Professional Building, located at 608 Superior St.

“There were a few renovations done. I ripped the carpet up and put in new flooring, some painting was done and I put all the display shelving up,” Hetto. said.

Richardson Design has a variety of handmade goods, epoxy resin art and much more.

“I’ve been making and selling products for about five years,” said Hetto. “I’ve sold products at craft shows and through Facebook, but now having the privilege of owning my own business, I can offer a larger variety of products.”

Hetto designs and produces a variety of screenprinted attire. Currently, T-shirts and tank tops are majority of the stock with summer approaching. However, long-sleeve shirts, hoodies and sweatpants will hit the shelves closer to the fall and winter months. The sizing available is XS to 3X.

Some of the handmade goods by Hetto include tumblers, wine glasses, door hangers, welcome signs, decorative towels, coffee mugs, keychains and vinyl decals.

She also makes a variety of epoxy resin art, such as coasters, self-defense and regular keychains, decorative trays, shot glass holders, pen holders and decorative signs.

All handmade goods, epoxy art and a variety of attire can be custom ordered at anytime.

Other products sold are soy wax melts and candles, bath bombs, essential oils, shower steamers, beard oil, bath salts, jewelry, organic beeswax lip balm and fidget toys.

“Coming soon, we will be carrying goats milk soaps, more accessories and jewelry, along with a wider variety of attire,” Hetto said. “I plan to have more children’s attire available as well. Right now, it’s only by custom orders.”

“We have a lot of ‘Mom’ themed tees in stock for Mothers Day,” said Hetto.

With Hetto working full time as a benefits administrator, the shop is only open from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
