September may mean football to some, chili for others and the turning of the leaves to Mother Nature.
For Todd Toburen, it means the annual Stumble Stump Rendezvous in Antigo.
The rendezvous returns for another year Thursday through Saturday at the Springbrook Trail trailhead on North Virginia Street.
The Stumble Stump Rendezvous is a camp full of re-enactors of the fur trapping and trading era of the 1800s. Volunteers dress in period clothes and put on demonstrations including candle making, leather working, cooking, hawk and knife throwing, and black powder demonstrations.
Friday is children’s day, and the general public is invited to attend from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
