Joseph Schroepfer, of Antigo, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 65 years old. He was born on June 16, 1955, in Chicago, a son of Robert and Doris (Flint) Schroepfer.
He married Lynda (Detwiler) Bolen on Oct. 16, 1992, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Deerbrook. She survives.
He was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1973.
Joe was a lifelong salesman having worked at Mrs. Karl’s Bread, South Side Tire and Pomp’s Tire.
He was a storyteller, enjoyed visiting and could make friends with anyone.
He played softball with his children, enjoyed music, golfing and camping with family and friends.
He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church where he served on the church council for many years.
Survivors including his wife are three daughters, Miranda (Irene) Lezcano, Rothschild, Melissa (Jeremy) Moore, Medford, and Erin Bolen and Brett Ross, Crown Point, Indiana; son, Jay (Nichole) Bolen, Greenville; eight grandchildren, Rylee, Gavin, Izabel, Elizeo, Kade, Lucas, Sadie and Mason; three brothers, Wayne, Andy, and Bill Schroepfer, all of Antigo; two sisters, Lorri (Lee) Horne, New London, and Linda (Ken) Heinzen, Schofield; and his previous spouse, Janice (Doug) Cahak. He will be sorely missed by his two dogs, Hewie and Skipper.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Stanley.
A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
