Kenneth Michael Selner, age 74, of Foristell, Missouri, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.
Ken was born on March 12, 1947, in Antigo to the late Ludwig “Louis” and Ann (Zimmerman) Selner.
Upon graduating from Antigo High School in 1965, Ken served in the U.S. Army until 1968.
On June 6, 1970, he was united in marriage to Sharon Rabe at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Polar.
Ken and Sharon resided in Wausau and raised their family there. Ken worked in the banking industry for First American and People’s State Bank in Wausau, and People’s Bank in Elkhoen.
He was a member of Living Lord Lutheran Church.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Sharon, include his daughters, Tracie Lynn (Frank) Francone and Tia Marie (David) Gooding, son, Travis (Lindsay) Selner; grandchildren, Abigail Selner, Avery Selner, Grayson Gooding and Asher Gooding, and a sister, Judy Kolz.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Robert; a sister, Jane Govek; and two brothers-in-law, Jim Kolz and John Govek.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church. Vicar Jennifer Sosinski will preside. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service at the church. Interment will be in Polar Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ken’s name may be given to a veterans organization of your choice or the American Heart Association.
