Linda Jones, of Wausau, died as a result of cancer Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was 45 years old. She was born on Oct. 4, 1975, in Antigo, a daughter of John and Virginia (Zdanovec) Domino.
She was a graduate of Antigo High School in 1994 and attended Northcentral Technical College where she received degrees in graphic design and early childhood education.
She was employed as a preschool teacher at Montessori School of Wausau.
Being a mother and caring for her son, Travis, was the highlight of her life.
She enjoyed cooking, nature, taking Travis hiking, camping and following his sports of basketball, baseball and golf. She was a fan of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Wisconsin Badgers.
Survivors include her son, Travis Jones, at home; husband, Jason, Wausau; her mother, Virginia Domino, Antigo; father, John Domino, Wausau; two sisters, Katherine (Daniel) Cherek, Wausau, and Jennifer Domino and Kyle Weber, Manitowoc.
The funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 11 a.m. at SS Mary Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Joel Sember, officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for her son, Travis. Memorials may be dropped at the funeral home.
