The Antigo Middle Schools girls tennis team showed dramatic improvement in its second match of the season Thursday.
Competing in a triangular at Marshfield, the Robins won a total of 36 games.
Antigo dropped four close matches to the host team, before coming back to beat Wisconsin Rapids 3-1, scoring wins in two singles and one in doubles.
Both eighth graders on the squad were successful, with Haley Burhop winning 6-3 and Matty Ratliff taking a 6-0 victory.
Doubles winners were Gisell Martinez and Addison Burhop by a score of 6-4. Gianna Casetta won five of six singles games before falling to her opponent.
The AMS tennis squad will next head to Wisconsin Rapids for a Tuesday triangular.
