The Antigo Red Robins high school bowling teams were all in action Sunday, with the boys varsity and junior varsity teams hosting Amherst at North Star Lanes, while the girls varsity team ventured to Coral Lanes in Wausau.
The boys varsity defeated Amherst’s JV team 8-1, averaging a score of 199, with a high game of 254. Top Antigo bowlers included Will Kubeny, Austin Schedlbauer and Carson Kunze.
The JV boys squad bowled against the Amherst varsity team and lost 8-1. The team averaged a 146 round, with a high score of 205. Leading the way for the Robins was Brady Rickert, Matt Maus and Kalsin Toth.
The girls varsity team bowled against the combined team of Wausau East/Wausau West and Everest, dropping a tight match, 5-4. Average pins for the day was 169, with a high game of 252.
Top Antigo bowlers were Katie Kirsch, Marnie Kubacki and Quinlan McCarthy.
The boys teams will return to action this Sunday, with the varsity team traveling to Rhinelander and the JV team back home at North Star.
The girls team is off until Jan. 24.
