The White Lake High School athletic department took time recently to honor its baseball players.

The squad, of course was unable to take the field this spring season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and was to be the lone spring sports team at the Northern Lakes Conference school.

“White Lake High School athletics would like to recognize our baseball players,” representatives of the program said in a joint statement. “We missed being able to watch you play this season, but look forward to watching your team next year.”

The roster included four seniors, in “Dave” Noah Dettlaf, Adrian Marsh, Tristan Fredrick and Levi Pranke.

“To our seniors we know this isn’t the way you wanted to end your year and our hearts are with you,” the statement continued. “We wish you nothing but the best in all your future endeavors.

Juniors included “Onion” Blake Baehman, Ellamae Wild, Emilee Kubacki, Chris Rosman and Braden Fredrick, along with sophomores Gage Steckbauer, Katrina Pranke and Carter Holbrook.
